Disclosure: I receive compensation from the Bluehost, the web hosting company mentioned in this tutorial, when people signup for a web hosting account.
If fashion is a huge interest of your, like it is for me, you should consider starting your own fashion blog. You can talk about your favorite, types of clothing, post outfit ideas, keep people up to date with what trendy and what isn’t, you can also make a little extra money. Read the steps below to learn how to launch your own fashion blog.
Step 1: Go to the website Bluehost.com. It is the best web host for a new blogger to start because of their low prices, one click WordPress install and great support. Once you land on Bluehost.com click the “Get Started Now” button.
Step 2: Next you have to pick a hosting plan. The longer you sign up for the cheaper it is. If you are committed to fashion and thing your blog will perform well, sign up for a year or two. If you don’t want to spend as much upfront just sign up on a month to month plan.
Step 3: Next you have to pick a domain name. This is probably the hardest thing to do because all the god domains seem to be taken. My advice here is get a dot com domain with no dashes in it.
Step 4: If you see the page below that means the domain you want is already taken, just keep searching until you find one that is available.
Step 5: Now that you have found a domain name, you can go ahead and pay for it.
On this page you pick your hosting plan. Once again this all depends on your confidence level. If you can commit to blogging even when you are not getting a lot of traffic of making much money then get a one or two year plan.
Along with selecting a plan I recommend you get domain privacy. The other options can be declined..
Next enter your address and credit card number and hit next to pay.
Step 6: Now that you have your domain and hosting account you have to install WordPress. You can do this pretty fast by going into your Bluehost account and going to Install WordPress.
Step 7: On the next page click the install button.
Step 8: Next you should enter the domain name you purchased when you signed up and hit the button check domain.
On the next page enter your site title, blog login name and blog password. These can be changed later so don’t think too hard on this step. Once you enter everything click the button to install WordPress.
Step 10: Like you see below a progress bar will show you how the installation is progressing.
Step 11: Once install finished you will see a message at the top of the page saying the install is complete. Click the button view credentials button.
Step 12: Click the view button to see your install credentials.
Step 13: As you can see this page shows your blog urls, user name and password. Make sure you bookmark the urls and write your password down.
